Main Square of Santiago de Surco The main Plaza of Surco was re-inaugurated in December 1997. Located in downtown Surco it is a beautiful small green oasis. As in many other districts of Lima the Plaza Mayor is the place where people meet and relax, especially at weekends. Here you find the Municipality of Santiago de Surco and the main church "Iglesia Santiago Apostol".
Santiago Apostol Church Located at Plaza Mayor, the church of Santiago Apostol was constructed by the Jesuit Juan Rher in 1571. The church was built in baroque style, consisting of a single ship and an underground crypt. The main altar shows images of the Virgin of the Immaculate Conception, Santiago Apostol and Jesus of Nazareth
Friendship Park(Parque de la Amistad) It’s located at corner of Av. Caminos del Inca with Calle Las Nazarenas in Surco. This is the great park in Santiago de Surco, a popular place for young and old.
Historical Complex and Church San Juan Grande The church of San Juan Grande was built by the Jesuit order in 1752 using adobe, cane, wood and stone. The inside is built in typical colonial style, decorated with amazing wall paintings. The National Institute of Culture (INC) declared the property "Historical Monument of the Nation" in 1972. Located in the Ranch La Cruceta (Block 7 of Los Proceres avenue)
Aeronautical Museum It’s located on the Air Force Base "Las Palmas" and occupies the building that for over 50 years was the headquarters of the School for the Peruvian Air Force Officers. This museum shows the history and development of aviation in Peru. Street: Av. Jorge Chávez, Las Palmas
Gold of Peru - Weapons of the World Museum The Gold museum shows a collection of gold and silver from the different pre-Columbian cultures. The Museum "Weapons of the World" exhibits more than 20,000 pieces from all over the world, including various weapons, horse mountings, uniforms, and the sword of Francisco Pizarro (the Spanish conqueror and founder of Lima).
Square of the Grape Harvest It's located in the block 1 of Ayacucho Avenue. It’s a mall square that opened on the 14th of March 1997. It is dedicated to the memory of the agro-industrial activities in Surco based on the grape and the importance of vine making in this district.
Park Cesar Vallejo This park was inaugurated on the 19th of June 1997 in honor of the poet Cesar Vallejo. The monument in the middle shows Cesar Vallejo in life-size.
